Yvonne "Bonnie" Patricia Moore, age 86 of Northville, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2021. She was born on December 9, 1935, to the late Mary "Marie" and Neil McLeod in Detroit, Michigan.
Bonnie graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Wyandotte, MI and earned her bachelor's in education from Mercy College. Her concentration was in elementary education where she devoted her life to teaching children in the classroom and as a catechist for over 30 years. She modeled her life as a devout Catholic, relentless at instilling the importance of Christian faith, lessons, and belief in the power of prayer and the rosary. She was socially active with many prayer groups, high school, and college alumni friends, and introduced many people to the Father Solanus Casey Guild.
Purposefully positive, Bonnie's kindness and humility were her endearing qualities. Faith was her true companion and she used it to power her way through life's most challenging moments. She loved the outdoors and camping adventures. Always active, she enjoyed attending her aerobics classes for over 30 years. Bonnie took her responsibility as a caregiver, sister, and mother to heart throughout her life. Her journey as a person of faith was a model for anyone who had the opportunity to learn from her.
She was the beloved and devoted wife of 57 years to the late Norman "Bud" Moore; loving mother of Joe (Lisa) Moore, Patrick (Jennifer) Moore, Susan (Steven) Gregerson; dear grandmother to Marissa, Ashley, Lauren, Brett, Bryce. Dear sister of Don, Michael, and Jerry McLeod. She was pre-deceased by her brother Murdock McLeod. Visitation Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 4-8 pm at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave Novi 248-348-1800. Funeral mass 10 am Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 133 Orchard Street Northville. * Note no visitation at church*.
Interment Great Lakes National Cemetery.
