Yankowski William A. August 25, 2018 age 82. Bill was born July 5, 1936 in Albany New York to the late William F. and Dorothy (Flynn) Yankowski. He graduated from Troy High School in Troy, NY and from the Junior College of Albany in 1960. From 1954-57, Bill served in the United States Army Paratrooper Division stationed in Germany. He married Mary Ann Kosek on October 14, 1967 and they enjoyed 50 years together living in Waterford, Halfmoon, NYand Novi. Ford Motor Company was Bill's employer for 38 years in Green Island, NY and Plymouth, MI. Bill was the beloved husband of Mary Ann, devoted father of William (Nicole) Yankowski , Christine (Robert) Gavin, Michael (Angie) Yankowski , and Mary Grace (Richard) Rogers. Proud grandfather of Dakota, Kayla and Chloe Lowery, Colton, Adriana, Ronin and Blake Yankowski, Brayden and Faith Rogers and Kinsey Gavin. Dear brother of Thomas and Edward Yankowski, Mary Ellen (Brian) Bailey and the late Frank (Jackie) Yankowski and the late Nancy (Pete) Shields. Also survived by sister-in-law Barbara and the late Howard Smith and brother-in-law William (Mary Ann) Kosek and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 3-8 pm at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave Novi (248-348-1800) with a scripture service at 7pm. Funeral Liturgy will be 10:30 am Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church 24505 Meadowbrook Rd. Novi with visitation 10 am until liturgy.
