William Joseph McGuire passed on Thursday, August 25, 2022 in Novi at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of Carolyn for 46 years.
Dear father of William McGuire and Jennifer (Nathan) Plecha.
Proud grandfather of Jacob, Layla and Lucas.
Son of the late George and Rita.
Uncle of Karen and Julie.
Brother of George Thomas (Mary) and Michael (Francis). He is also survived by many friends.
Bill was enlisted in the Air Force National Guard from 1966 to 1971. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in teaching. He taught Industrial Arts and enjoyed wood working. He built a roll top desk and various other wood working projects. Bill also enjoyed bike riding, kayaking, taking walks with the family dog and traveling with his wife. Bill had a passion for classic cars and attended many car shows. He worked for Ford Motor Company as s Tool & Die maker and retired from there, after more than 30 years.
Fought a courageous battle with colon cancer. Rest in peace with the Lord.
Instate at St. James Church 46325 10 Mile Novi Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 9:30am until the funeral Liturgy at 10:00am. Interment will take place at Rural Hill Cemetery, Northville.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. James Catholic Church in William's name.
