William "Bill" D. McCauley September 8, 1932 – February 12, 2025
William "Bill" D. McCauley, age 92, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2025. He was born on September 8, 1932, in Devils Lake, North Dakota, to the late Jonathan and Rose (Wittkopf) McCauley.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, LaVon (Katzenberg), whom he married in 1960. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Bill was a proud father to Mark (Jennifer) McCauley and Scott (Jeanne) McCauley, and a doting grandfather to Jessica (Jim) Beaubien, Courtney (Diana) McCauley, Brandon, Michael, and Benjamin McCauley. His great-grandchildren, Bastien, Hadley, Callahan, and Duke, were a constant source of joy to him.
Bill was preceded in death by his siblings: Jay, Geraldine, and Blanche. He leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will remember him for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and positive spirit.
A seasoned professional, Bill dedicated many years to managing medical group practices, where his leadership and compassion for others shone through. Outside of work, Bill had a passion for bowling and golf, spending many hours on the green and at the lanes. He also enjoyed traveling with LaVon, exploring new places, and playing pinochle with friends and family.
Bill's legacy is one of love, family, and a life well-lived. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
A private interment will take place at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held 1 pm Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Fox Run Belmont Club House in the Derby Room- lower level.
