Flanigan, William A. "Uncle Billy". Born in Detroit, Michigan on October 3, 1935 to Estelle (Gauthier) and S.H. "Tiny" Flanigan. Preceded in death by his beloved brothers, Dan and Larry Flanigan. Bill was a proud and loyal alumnus of St. Mary of Redford and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. After serving in the U.S. Army, he began a long career in sales; first with the Nabisco Company in Michigan. He then became a manufacturer's representative in Hospital and Medical Supplies, starting in Chicago and then on to California, Texas, and Illinois. Upon retirement he moved back to the Detroit area to be near friends and family. Bill is survived by his sisters; Dolores (Bill) Blashill, Kathleen (Ken) Millard, and Judy (Mike) Sermo. He also leaves fifteen nieces and nephews and 25 great nieces and nephews. Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi 248-348-1800, Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a K of rosary at 7:00 PM.
