Wayne Alan Wieczorek, a loving son, brother, uncle, and avid nature enthusiast, passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 67. Wayne was born on November 27, 1955, to the late Al and Betty Wieczorek and was the nephew of the late Louise Gay.
Wayne is survived by his beloved sister, Louise (Robert) Strzalka, and his cherished nephew, Kevin (Elizabeth) Strzalka. He also leaves behind numerous extended family members who held a special place in his heart.
Wayne graduated from Lutheran High West, marking the beginning of his lifelong pursuit of knowledge and adventure.
Throughout his life, Wayne had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the natural world. He was a passionate "birder" and found great joy in observing and photographing birds and other aspects of nature. His love for the outdoors extended to his favorite pastimes of walking and hiking in nature, where he felt most at peace.
In addition to his love for the great outdoors, Wayne had a passion for culinary arts. He was well known for preparing his famous prime rib. His delicious creations brought family and friends together around the table, creating cherished memories that will forever be remembered.
Wayne's professional journey led him to become a world traveler. He spent six years living in England during his tenure with Dana Commercial Credit. Later in his career, he joined Belfor Property Restoration, where he made significant contributions and eventually retired.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, commencing at 10:30 AM, following a brief visitation starting at 10:00 AM.
