May 19, 1954 - October 15, 2018.
Wayne, beloved husband and best friend of Debbie. Dearest brother of Cindy (Dan) Ottoni and Judie (John) Thomas. Dear brother-in-law of Marlene (Ray) Gavin, and William Kish. Loving uncle of Amie and Kim Ottoni, Gina, Kristin, Alison,and Evan Thomas, Thomas Gavin, Susan and Jeff Suddeth, Paul Kish, Michael and Michele KIsh, Dawn Kish. Cherished Son of the late John and Virginia Wrobel. Wayne became a member of the Novi City Council for eight years. He was so very proud to serve on the council and to help make Novi the vibrant city he loved. He was also the president of the Novi Rotary Club in 2017.
Wayne retired from AT&T with 34 years of service in 2012. Wayne graduated from Michigan State University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to earn a Masters of Science in Administration in 1993 from Central Michigan University. Wayne was an avid MSU supporter with season tickets to the football and basketball games. To say his blood ran green is an understatement! A true Spartan. Wayne and Debbie loved to travel----with Hawaii being their favorite place. Wayne loved life ---he was also a fan of Jimmy Buffet, a proud member of the Eagle Scouts, an avid reader, a civil war buff, and a true patriot who loved marching in the Memorial Day parade. Wayne fought a valiant battle against sinus cancer for the past 18 months He Leaves behind many close and loving family members and friends who will miss him dearly, and of course, the love of his life, his wife Debbie. Visitation 2-8 pm Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi 248 348 1800. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 am Friday, October 19, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church 24505 Meadowbrook Rd. Novi, with visitation 10 am until time of liturgy at church.
