Beloved husband of Amelia S. Herc for 69 years.
Loving father of Gary Herc, Patricia (Roger) Tate, Robert (Sharon) Herc, Thomas (Catherine) Herc.
Dear grandfather of Paul Tate, Kelly (James) Holznagle, Brian Herc, Adam Herc, David (Erica) Herc, Anthony Herc, Joseph Herc, and the late Scott Herc.
Mr. Herc is also survived by three step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews.
Walter was the former owner of the many Herc's Restaurants dating back to 1946.
Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi 248-348-1800 Saturday 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Funeral service Saturday 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Interment will take place at Oakland Hills Cemetery, Novi.
Memorial donations may be made to Residential Hospice – www.residentialhospice.com .
