In Loving Memory of Mrs. Vita Ancona
Vita Ancona, born on May 25, 1932, entered eternal rest on February 17, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Alberto, in the year 2000, and now they are reunited in the embrace of eternity.
Vita is survived by her six devoted children, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy extends through 17 living grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Though one grandchild has gone before her, Vita's love for them endures as a timeless bond.
Born into a family of three siblings, Vita is survived by her sister, and fondly remembered are the late moments shared with her late sister and brother. Additionally, she leaves behind a nephew whom she treated as one of her own children, a testament to her expansive heart.
Family was at the heart of Vita's world, and her love for them knew no bounds. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, finding immense joy in their presence. Raising her six children was a source of pride for Vita, a testament to her strength, dedication, and nurturing spirit.
Vita was a woman of deep faith, and her religious convictions were reflected in her active involvement in the church community. She dedicated herself to various small groups and events, contributing to the spiritual life of those around her.
In addition to her spiritual pursuits, Vita possessed artistic talents that brought joy to those who knew her. She found solace and fulfillment in ceramics and coloring, leaving behind tangible expressions of her creativity for her loved ones to cherish.
Known for her culinary skills, Vita was a wonderful cook, with her cannolis and cassata cakes earning her a reputation for culinary excellence. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and love, where the aroma of her delicious creations lingered as a symbol of familial togetherness.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Vita's honor to be made to the
American Kidney Fund
, a cause close to her heart.
Visitation will be held at the O'Brien Sullivan Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Vita's life will be held at St. William Catholic Church on Thursday, February 22, 2024 with a short visitation period from 9:30 AM until the Mass begins at 10:00 AM. As we gather to remember and honor Vita, let us carry forward the love, faith, and joy she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
