In Loving Memory of Timothy George Van Sickle

Timothy George Van Sickle, born on February 22, 1958, left this world on February 29, 2024, surrounded by the love he so generously shared throughout his life. A devoted brother, a cherished uncle, and a remarkable gentleman, Timmy's passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Timothy's life was harmonized by his love for music, particularly the Beatles, the Rolling Stones (with a special admiration for Brian Jones), and Jimi Hendrix. His passion for music earned him the affectionate title of the "Music Man," and at West Lakes, where he was known as the "DJ," he played melodies that brought joy to the hearts of many. His legacy as a music enthusiast will resonate in the notes of the songs he so dearly loved.

Beyond his musical endeavors, Timothy was known for his warm sense of humor, friendliness, and loving nature. His heart was a wellspring of compassion, and he genuinely cared for others, showing kindness and generosity to everyone he encountered. His spirit of giving and sharing touched the lives of many, making him a beloved figure in his community.

Timothy's interests extended beyond music, and he found joy in watching wrestling, adding another layer to his multifaceted personality. He embraced life at West Lakes, forming meaningful connections with his West Lakes family. His growth in these relationships was a testament to the person he became – someone who valued love, friendship, shared experiences, and took pride in his accomplishments.

Earlier in life, Timothy had a successful career as a landscaper, and he was immensely proud of the beauty he created in the world through his work. His skill and dedication as a landscaper added a vibrant dimension to his life story, and his legacy as a craftsman of nature will endure.

One of Timothy's simple pleasures in life was enjoying bologna sandwiches, a reflection of his down-to-earth and unpretentious character. His love for family, especially his nieces and nephews, was unwavering. Among them, his niece Krystal held a special place in his heart, affectionately referred to as "Sugarfoot." She brought him a sense of security and comfort that illuminated his life.

Timothy George Van Sickle was predeceased by one of his siblings but is survived by the other six, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and genuine care. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his warmth and kindness.

A celebration of Timothy's life will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the Memorial Service at 12:00 noon. As we gather to remember and honor the "Music Man," let us reflect on the joy he brought to our lives, the love he so freely gave, and the beauty he created in the world through his landscaping craft. Timothy George Van Sickle will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the remarkable gentleman he was.
