Timothy "Ted" Dowd Age 85

Ted was born in Detroit on January 27, 1934 to the late Michael and Margret (O'Brien).
After he served in the US Army, he joined the Detroit Police Department and retired from the Homicide Division of Squad 7 after over 25 plus years on the force. In 1962 he married Sharon, they settled in Detroit and raised their children Kelli (Joseph) Schiavi, Kathy (Kevin) Diaz, Tim (Amber Haggard) and Colleen Dowd (Delroy Thomas). He is the proud grandfather of Joey (Hannah Jannett), Jenna (Matt) Wozny, Jacob, Johnny, Jimmy, Katana(Greg) Crane, Kayla (Chris Redmond) Kortney, Timmy, Zach, Riley, Keegan, Brody and Kennedy. Great grandfather of Jaiden.
Brother of the late Fr. Jack Dowd C.S.s.R, Peggy (Paul) Cuschieri, Michael, Cecilia, Lawrence and Mary Margaret. Brother-in-law of Marge Dowd, Pat (Steve) Nemes and Sue (Ed) Mulvihill.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Novi on April 12, 2019 from 3-8pm with a scripture service at 7:00 PM.
Instate at St. James Church 46325 W. Ten Mile Novi Saturday April 13, 2019 10:00am until the funeral Liturgy at 10:30am. Inurnment with Military Honors will take place at Great lakes Cemetery Holly, Michigan.
