Timothy Robert Donovan, Age 72, passed away in Royal Oak on May 27, 2017. Tim was born on February 12, 1945 in Detroit to the late Robert and Patricia Donovan. He grew up in Detroit and graduated with the Catholic Central class of 1963. After graduating, he studied business at Henry Ford Community College and Madonna University. It was while enjoying a burger at Detroit's Tischbein's that he met his bride-to-be, Janice Dallocchio. The two hit it off, married on March 31, 1967, and shared over 50 years together.
Tim served for a number of years in the Michigan National Guard Reserve M.A.S.H. unit and was called into action during the 1967 Detroit riot. Over the years, Tim worked primarily as a manufacturer's rep for his own business. When he was away from the office, he would regularly trek to one of his favorite places on earth, the family cottage on Jose Lake in northern Michigan. The cottage was the place to spend time with his family, fish and hunt (not focused on the catch, but enjoying the experience). Tim was also a talented cook, enjoyed golf, a dedicated Tiger's fan, and was always in attendance at any activity his grand kids were involved in.
Beloved husband to Janice (nee Dallocchio); loving father of Michael (Jody) Donovan and Angela (Chris) Niedzinski; proud grandfather of Dylan, Jaime, Reilly, Caitlin, and Kendall; brother to Mary Beth Donovan, Dan Donovan, and Patrick (Sue) Donovan.
