Thomas Lutz, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2024, at the age of 65. Born on March 9, 1959, Thomas lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love.

Thomas had an unwavering love for music, particularly classic rock, which was the soundtrack to his vibrant life. His enthusiasm for collecting slot cars was matched only by his affinity for classic cars.

A devoted sports fan, Thomas cheered wholeheartedly for the Detroit Red Wings, Tigers, and Lions. His loyalty to his favorite teams was just one example of the deep sense of loyalty and generosity that defined his character. Though he was known to be stubborn, this trait was a testament to his determination and resilience in all endeavors he pursued. He accomplished anything and everything that he put his mind to.

Thomas found immense joy and peace in the natural beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, which he often referred to as his happy place. There, he spent cherished moments with his family, embracing the tranquility of nature.

In a love story for the ages, Thomas met his beloved wife, JoAnne, after placing an ad in the Detroit paper seeking a companion. After getting to know each other over the phone for a few weeks, their first meeting in person was magical, and it was love at first sight. Thomas proposed to JoAnne just a few hours later, and they enjoyed 33 years of a deeply loving and devoted marriage.

Thomas is survived by his cherished wife, JoAnne; his loving daughter, Amber; his brother, Paul; his sisters, Pam (Larry) and Donna; and his adored pet cats, Autumn, Buster, Sam, Jack, and Obie.

Thomas's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, loyalty, and resilience will continue to inspire those he left behind.
