Thomas A. Gruley, loving husband, father and grandfather, Army veteran and entrepreneur, died peacefully Sunday, three days short of his 80th birthday.
Preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, JoAnne. Father of Kimi (Joe), Karen (Chris), Kathleen (Bryan), Michael (Terry), David (Janet) and Bryan (Pam). Grandfather of Ben, Joey, Michael, Sarah, Joe, Jake, Maureen, Erin, Danielle, Kaitlin and Joel. Brother of Al (Pat) and Patsy.
Fought in the Korean War. Started Panorama Engineering in 1967, a business that endures today. Built a treasured family cottage on Big Twin Lake in northern Michigan. Lover of household projects, golf, deer hunting, cars, euchre, the Detroit Tigers, Tony Bennett, banana cream pie and kielbasa with sauerkraut.

Visitation 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, February 23 and Rosary at 7:30 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, Mich. 48375. Funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 24 at St. Aidan Catholic Church, 17500 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan, 48152.
