Terrence Fitzpatrick

September 15, 1960 – July 31, 2026

Terrence Fitzpatrick, age 65, of Livonia, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026. Born on September 15, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, Terry lived a life defined by determination, intelligence, and an unwavering love for his family, friends, and the outdoors.

Terry earned two master's degrees—one in Pharmaceutical Research and an MBA—from Eastern Michigan University, Walsh College, and Wayne State University. He built a distinguished career in clinical cancer research, working for Pfizer and Merck, where his dedication and expertise contributed to advancements that helped improve the lives of countless patients.

While Terry was proud of his education and professional accomplishments, his greatest source of pride was being a father. His daughter, Briana, was the center of his world, and becoming "Grandpa" to Dean and Diana brought him immeasurable joy.

An avid outdoorsman, Terry found happiness hunting, fishing, boating, mushroom hunting, golfing, and playing horseshoes. He especially enjoyed spending time at his beloved lake house, where many treasured memories were made with family and friends. Whether he was working on projects around the house, relaxing with a good book, or enjoying a round of golf with his league, Terry embraced every opportunity to stay active and engaged.

Among his favorite hunting memories were harvesting a remarkable 9-point buck and a black bear—accomplishments he spoke of with pride. He was also a devoted member of the Eagles Club in Howell, where he enjoyed the fellowship of lifelong friends.

Terry was known for his strong personality. He was stubborn, proud, assertive, confident, determined, intelligent, and active. Beneath his tough exterior was a man with an enormous heart who loved deeply and was fiercely loyal to those closest to him. His faithful dog, Rory, was a constant companion and brought him great comfort and happiness.

He treasured the lifelong friendships he shared with Mike, Lambert, and Stan, whose companionship enriched his life through countless adventures, rounds of golf, and unforgettable moments together.

Those who knew Terry will always remember one of his signature expressions: "Up the IRA," often delivered with his characteristic confidence and sense of humor.

Terry is lovingly survived by his daughter, Briana; his grandson, Dean; his granddaughter, Diana; his stepdaughter, Barbara; his sisters, Eileen and Colleen; and his brothers, Kevin and Tim. He also leaves behind many extended family members, dear friends, golf league companions, fellow Eagles Club members, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida (Carmen) Fitzpatrick.

Though his accomplishments were many, Terry's greatest legacy is the love he gave to his family and the countless memories he created with those he held dear. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
