Sylvia Ann McKenzie (nee Williams) passed on to the next life on December 13 at the age of 88. She was born in Wyandotte, Michigan in 1933 and lived there with her brothers Hal and Paul through high school.
She then met the love of her life, Donald Grant McKenzie and they married in April, 1955. They moved to Livonia and raised three children, Keith, Tom and Annette. They retired in 1985 and moved to their lakefront home in Lewiston, Michigan where they happily lived the lake life and spent the winter months in Naples, FL.
Sylvia had many hobbies including, painting, quilting, water aerobics, needlepoint and playing cards and games. She was a volunteer for many charities but especially Hospice of Michigan. Her kind and generous heart and warm smile will be missed by her family and all those who knew her.
She is survived by her brother Paul (Nancy) and her children Keith (Mary), Tom (Lorna) and Annette (John), six grandchildren, Kelsey, (Kevin), Ally (Joe), Leah (Rebecca), Nicole (Matt), Nathaniel and Nat (Brooke). She also had three great- grandchildren, Emilia, Eli and Nora. Sylvia was pre-deceased in death by husband Don and brother Hal and his wife Betty.
A celebration of Sylvia's life will be held in the spring of 2022.
