Susan Marion Wood. Born December 29, 1950, in Detroit. MI. Died August 18, 2026, in Milford, MI from complications related to Parkinson’s. Survived By: Husband, Richard Wood, Married on October 4, 1974. Children: Sara (Mike) Martin, Brennan and Bryn, Kevin (Meghan) Wood, Harper and Emersyn. Brother Richard (Irene) Tanghe and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. Sue enjoyed reading, knitting and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Sue worked as dental hygienist for more than 40 years and developed relationships with many of her patients due to her warm personality and kind demeanor. Many of these patients were her own kid’s schoolmates which always made for fun stories. She devoted time and energy to many charitable organizations including Clothes Closet at Holy Family Church and creating baby layettes for mothers in need. Sue was most proud of her grandchildren and loved nothing more than spending time with them, from cousin sleepovers, baking cookies, art projects and attending their sports and activities, she found great joy in watching them grow. Sue was dedicated to her family and spent an amazing 68 years with Rick in her life, 52 years of that married. She was a wonderful friend to many, she always put others before herself and was available to lend a hand or an ear when one was needed.
