In Loving Memory of Sue Ann Janczarek
June 29, 1944 – May 4, 2025
Sue Ann Janczarek, a devoted wife, cherished mother, proud grandmother, and passionate gardener, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at the age of 80.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, on June 29, 1944, to Frank and Beverly (Geiman) Chambers, Sue lived a life rooted in love, service, and resilience. She was the beloved wife of Michael S. Janczarek for 39 beautiful years. Together, they built a life filled with family, laughter, and enduring love.
Sue was the loving mother of Leland (Genal) Pratt and the late Christine Caiger and the late Michael Pratt. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Nolan Pratt, Heather Tressler, Jeremy Randolph, and Michael Seppanen, and her great-grandchildren Kaiden, Allison, and Aaron Tressler, all of whom she doted on with unwavering affection and pride.
Sue is also survived by her dear brothers, Henry and William Chambers, who knew her as a strong and nurturing sister.
Professionally, Sue began her career as a bank teller and through determination and intellect rose to become a computer analyst in the banking industry, where she worked diligently for over 25 years. Her career path mirrored her character—steady, adaptable, and committed.
Sue's heart for giving extended beyond her professional life. She was an active volunteer at Tollgate Farm, where she served as treasurer and nurtured her love of nature. A certified Master Gardener, she found joy and peace in the soil and leaves, sharing her knowledge freely with others. She also proudly earned her Bachelor's degree from Madonna University—a testament to her lifelong dedication to learning and growth.
