Myers, Steven D., age 70.January 17, 2012Passed away from an aneurysm.Beloved husband of Izumi Suzuki Myers.Proud father of Ken (Ting) Myers and Jun Myers.Brother of Duncan and Andrew Myers, and Elizabeth Charron.A visitation with friends and family will take place at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi, MI (248) 348-1800 on Saturday, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.Mr. Myers was a graduate of Grand Haven High School ('59), Lawrence University B.A. - Physics ('63) and Wayne State Law School (J.D. '70). He was an active and happily contributing member of many organizations, including the Novi Rotary Club, the Greater Detroit/Windsor Japan-America Society, the White Pine Glee Club (where he sang bass) and the Board of Hinoki International School in Livonia, MI.
Mr. Myers had varied and interesting occupations over his life, including as a teacher at the American School in Japan (ASIJ) High School in Tokyo, as the Deputy Executive Director of American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ), as an Attorney/Manager of International Public Affairs for Amway Corporation, as the Chief Executive Officer of Amway (Japan) Ltd. and as the founder and principal associate of Suzuki, Myers and Associates, Ltd.
