Jeter, Shirley 12/2/1932 - 10/9/2023 Grand Rapids, MI. Shirley Jeter, age 90, passed away peacefully October 9, 2023. Shirley was a retiree from Grand Rapids Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Jeter; her father and mother David and Eva Matthews; brothers; John, David Peter(Pete) and Charles; sisters; Jayne and Rose. She leaves behind; three daughters, Mary (Luther) Glenn, Janet Jeter, Diane (Jay) Liggins; seven grandchildren Tia, Hassah, Farhan, Rakan, Jay, Sydney, and Jeremy and 4 great grandchildren Hashim, Layla, Selma, and Faris. Services will be at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Thursday, October 26, 2023, Family Hour at 11 AM with Funeral Mass to follow at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to St. Paul the Apostle, Together We Grow Campaign.
