Sherry Ann (Moran) Ray

September 21, 1968 – October 23, 2026

Sherry Ann (Moran) Ray, 58, of Wixom, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026, just over a month after her 58th birthday. Sherry’s life reflected a deep devotion to her passions and an appreciation for the quiet joys that made life meaningful.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Brian Patrick Ray, and her sister, Mary Holakovsky. She is survived by her children, Stephanie (Brian) Denn, Allison (Sean) Hulway, and Kevin Sisco; and her grandchildren, Jaxon and Jameson Denn. She was a beloved sister to Linda Overton and Bill Moran, and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Sherry was a hairdresser and beautician by trade; who for many years of her life taught at a salon teaching the future generations in the craft. In the latter half of her career, she brought her artistry to the stage as a member of IATSE, creating theatrical makeup for the casts of Broadway shows. She was admiredfor her skill, her creativity, and her sense of humor.

Outside of her professional life, Sherry found joy in the small moments. She treasured a good cup of coffee with her loved ones and the joy of laughter. Sherry will be remembered for her gift of laughter, her artistry, and her larger-than-life personality. She leaves behind a lifetime of stories and will be deeply missed.

In her memory, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
