Dearest son of Elaine Walko, the late Don Welch Sr, and late stepfather Ray Walko. Father of his loving son Hunter Welch, special brother of Donna (Aaron) Stein, Scott (Lesley) Welch, Donald (Lisa) Welch, and a fun uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Novi High School in 1984 and was a member of the school baseball team. After graduating he became best friends with Linda and Ron Schultz, working for them by managing their Farmington apartment building for 20 years. Then he accepted a job with Lee Belinger at Motor City Wash Works where he worked for the remainder of his years.
He loved working hard and playing hard, he enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new and different recipes, usually quite hot and spicy. He loved fishing and golfing and being with his friends and family.
He will be dearly missed by all. He believed in the resurrection of the soul and his faith rested in Christ. The comfort and light of our memories of Shayne keeps him with us.
