In Loving Memory of Samuel Walter Rogers

Samuel Walter Rogers, departed from this world unexpectedly on May 13, 2024, at age 18, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and vibrant enthusiasm. Born to Bruce and Regina Rogers on March 19, 2006, Samuel brought joy to the lives of all who knew him. He was the cherished brother of Clarissa "Cam" Rogers, Benjamin Rogers, and Julia Rogers.

Sam had an unwavering love for hockey, which he cultivated as a dedicated teammate on the Orchard Lake St. Mary's Preparatory Hockey team. Off the ice, he found exhilaration in running, dirt biking and snowmobiling, embracing the thrill of adventure with zest and fervor. Sam was also an enthusiastic Formula 1 fan. Sam's life goal was to be a US Air Force Pararescueman and was actively training as a Special Warfare Candidate.

Sam attended high school at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Preparatory School, where he excelled academically. His intellectual curiosity led him to become an esteemed member of both the National Honor Society and the Debate Team, where his sharp wit and eloquence shone brightly. Sam's commitment to excellence extended beyond academics; he approached every aspect of life with determination and grace.

Sam is survived by his loving family, including his parents Regina (nee Moeller) and Bruce Rogers, his siblings Clarissa "Cam" Rogers, Benjamin Rogers, and Julia Rogers. He is also survived by his grandparents Walter M. Moeller III, Lois White, and Michelene Carbol and by his aunts and uncles: Donna (Gary) Koskiniemi, Mary Beth (Craig) Hodapp, Stanley (Loriann) Rogers, Paul (Sally) Rogers, Walter M. (Pamela) Moeller IV, Breisha (Kenny) Renio, Timothy Carbol, and Angela White. Sam will be missed by his many cousins and close family friends. Sam was preceded in death by his grandparents Donald W. Rogers and Mary Lou B. Rogers.

Though Sam's time with us was too brief, his impact will resonate eternally in the hearts of those who knew him. His radiant smile, infectious laughter, boundless energy, and willingness to serve others will be deeply missed, yet his memory will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
