Samuel Robert Brant
August 4, 1996-November 16, 2020
Samuel Brant was the beloved son of Theresa DePollo (Gene LaFond) and Stephen Brant. He was the cherished older brother of Adelina "Lina" Brant.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Gary DePollo and grandmother Jo-Elizabeth "Betsy" (Gresko) Brant and survived by grandmother Judy DePollo, grandfather Robert "Chief" Brant, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sam was a gentle and kind soul who was always willing to lend a hand whether it be to a friend or a stranger. While he often hid it behind a tough façade, he was extremely sensitive and loving.

He attended Eagan High School, Livonia Stevenson High School, and graduated from Michigan Virtual Academy. He worked as a driver and ice blaster for MES Services, a job he described as "sweep, blast, and sit on my ass" when asked, as he often was.

Sam was a fun loving free spirit who enjoyed just about every activity especially when he was with his loved ones. He loved hunting and fishing, frequently announcing a bad day in the woods or on the lake was better than most other days. He started saving for a fishing boat when he was 2 years old and planned to name it "he loved fishing but wasn't very good at it". He hunted all sorts of game and enjoyed coming up with new recipes when he had a successful day. When he wasn't hunting or fishing Sam enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially league bowling and pool where he made many great friends.

A gathering for family and friends will be on Saturday, November 21, 2020 12:00pm until the celebration of Sam's life at 2:00pm

Due to the COVID19 pandemic services attendance will be limited with precedence given to immediate family and Sam's closest friends.
