Russell  J.  Monforton  Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

Russell was the beloved husband of Donna for 66 and a half wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. He was a devoted and dear father to Steven (Laura), Randy, and Danielle, and a proud grandfather to Nicholas, Brienne, Christopher, Nicole, Mitchel, and Tyler, and great-grandfather of Gracie, Myla, Carter, and Charlotte "Charli" all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

He is also survived by his loving sisters, Sharon (Ray) Laundroche and Marsha (the late Daryl) Sahadi, and was preceded in death by his brother, Tom. Russell will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews: Curt, Michael, Denise, Don, Gary, Robin, Michelle, Maureen, Lisa, Ken, Lori, and Bryan, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Russell will be remembered for his love of family, his steady presence, and the kindness and wisdom he shared with those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, June 8, 10:00 AM until time of the Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 46325 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48374,
