Rosemary Cullen BalesAge 96 of Grand Rapids, MI. and formerly of Farmington Hills, and Detroit, MI passed away peacefully Friday evening March 15, 2013 at St Ann's Home with family members and Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus by her side. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Florence Cullen, her husband John O. Bales, son Thomas E. Bales and daughter-in- law Alwynne Reese Bales. Surviving are her children John A., Mary Lou Ross, William C. and Richard C. (Holly) Bales. Also surviving are ten (10) grandchildren and twelve (12) great grand children as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Rosemary after raising her five (5) children was a secretary at Detroit Catholic Central High School between 1964 and 2002. Visitation  at  the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi, (248) 348-1800, Friday 4-8pm Rosary Friday 7:30pm. In state at Detroit Catholic Central High School Chapel 27225 Wixom Road Novi Saturday 9:30am until the Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery Southfield, MI.. In lieu of flowers, donation to honor Rosemary may be made to St Ann's Home 2161 Leonard Street N.W.
