Obituary

Rosella "Jane" Erhart, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the age of 92. She was born February 12, 1931 in Erie, Pa, daughter of the late Viola & Leonard Kitzer, sister of the late Marion Hare. Survived by her children: Tom (Denise) Erhart, Debbie Erhart, Sandy Erhart, Patty (Rick) Nessel. Grandchildren: Brian (Hannah) Erhart; Trevor, Sydnee & Jake Nessel. Great-Grandchildren: River & Ivy Erhart. Also survived by many nieces and 1 nephew.
The BEST mom in the world. She always made you feel special. Family was the most important thing to her. She was the most kind, loving & caring mom. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally & unselfishly. She was a very strong person and had an incredible will to live, each year adding on how many more years she wanted to live, and which milestones she still wanted to reach. She had a very positive outlook on life. Rarely complaining, and when asked how she was doing, she would say she was "perfect" despite all her ailments. She took great care of herself—with her beautiful hair always styled & being nicely dressed.
She taught her children to appreciate life, not take anything for granted, to be strong and loving.
She spent most of her life working, cherishing friendships and watching her family grow. She said the hardest job she had was being a mom, but it was also the most rewarding. Her favorite job was being able to provide daycare for her grandchildren, when they were young. She was the best grandma ever. She took great pride and joy in watching her grandkids grow up—was very involved in their lives, attending their concerts, sporting & other events. She loved that she could see her grandkids graduate from college, see Trevor become a Doctor, attend Brian and Hannah's wedding, and welcome their 2 beautiful great-grandchildren, Ivy & River. She was proud of Sydnee because she had a good job, was independent and happy. She wanted to see Jake graduate from Law School this spring, and always asked about his plans after graduation. Champ was a great therapy dog for her, and he loved her because she would pet him for hours, and let him put his entire face into the treat box.
She is reunited in heaven with her best friend Kay Logan, likely celebrating life, or otherwise stirring up trouble.
She was a one-of -a kind mom, and a very special person to all who knew her. She will be missed forever, but remembered always!
