Robert Yunker passed away on March 7, 2023 at the age of 71.

Bob was born on June 4, 1951 on a US Air Force base in Canada. He spent his youth moving due to his dad's Air Force career. Eventually settling in Michigan, he graduated from Oakland University and went on to own and operate two Custard Last Stand shops. After he was injured by a drunk driver, Bob studied and earned his builder's license and operated Neighborhood Services for several years before joining the staff at the City of Farmington Hills. He retired from Farmington Hills after a 26 year career in facilities management at the Costick Center.

Always willing to help anyone, Bob made plenty of connections. He spent hours remodeling homes and refurnishing furniture for his extended family. You could count on Bob to lend a hand when you moved; he had a knack for loading moving vans and was very willing to drive. He loved old cars and playing euchre, although his wife often accused him of cheating. Bob cherished his family and his and Gale's home was the site of many family gatherings.

He is survived by Gale, his best friend and wife of 42 years, their two children Amelia and Ray (Sarah) and two beautiful grandchildren, Max and Morgan. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you carry on Bob's giving spirit and please use those funds to ease someone else's struggles, donate to a local cause or simply help a family member or friend in need.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 9 am to Noon, with a memorial service by Fr. Tom Slowinski at noon. Friends are also invited to post memories on the Tribute wall or bring them to post on the family's memory boards.

Bob will be buried privately by his immediate family.
