Robert Charles Williams

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Charles Williams, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and educator, who passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born on March 22, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, Robert was the son of the late Marian Brown (Landesman) and William Henry Williams. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diane Louise (Papke) Williams, and is survived by his son, Blake Douglas Williams, and his grandchildren, Madison, Chandler, and Phillip. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Elaine Williams.
A proud academic, Robert spent many years as a respected professor at Brooklyn College/City University of New York, where he was honored with the title Professor Emeritus for his dedication to teaching and shaping the minds of countless students. He earned his bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and his master's degrees from Syracuse University and Wayne State University. Robert's passion for education extended beyond the classroom, and he was a lifelong learner.
Outside of his professional life, Robert was an avid reader and had a deep love for Genealogy Research, delving into his family history and creating a legacy that would endure for generations to come.
A memorial service will be held in Robert's honor, with the family kindly requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Fox Run Village Resident Care Fund, in recognition of the care and support Robert received during his later years.
Robert's warmth, intelligence, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of knowledge, kindness, and a deep connection to his roots that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
