Robert Alexander Lamb, a resident of Novi passed from this life on October 25, 2021, at the age of 78.
Bob was the dear father of Carolyn (Mike) Kroon and Lori (Barry) Fagan. He was the cherished grandfather of Zachary, Madison, Morgan, Shea and Connor. Bob was the loving brother of Darlene Stinchcombe and Uncle of nephew, Kelly. He was also the special significant other to Mary (Susan) Burleson.
His primary profession was as a truck driver. He retired from Hygrade Food Products with many years of service. Ball Park franks were the only hot dogs his kids ever ate. After retiring, he continued to keep busy by working at Speedway stocking the coolers and assisting anywhere needed. He took considerable pride in what he did. Always doing his best and wanting to make things better.
He was a part of his community by serving on the HOA Board of his complex and would always go above and beyond by personally doing jobs to better the community. For many years, he was a member of the Farmington Jaycees and worked on several community projects. He was an avid blood donor and would regularly support his favorite charities. He loved decorating for the holidays with his multiple blow ups and would share his enthusiasm with the neighbors by placing them on their lawns as well, if they wanted to participate. He was a kid at heart.
He was a simple man with a big heart. He may have seemed a little gruff at first impressions with a tough exterior but underneath he was a soft, gentle man who appreciated those around him and enjoyed his family.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to one of his favorite charities:
Toys For Tots
or
American Red Cross.
