Gawlas, Rita M. (Passanise) March 28, 2018 Age 84 of Bourbonnais. She was born May 30, 1933 in Detroit, MI to the late Salvatore "Sam" and Angeline Passanise. Rita married Robert "Bob' J. Gawlas on June 27, 1964 in Livonia, MI. He survives. Loving mother of Bryan(Kendra) Gawlas, Garron (Karen King) Gawlas and Angela(James) Anders. Grandmother to Natalie(Brian) Tackes , Nick(Stacy) Gawlas, Matthew(Elizabeth) Gawlas, Corey(Sybil Upshaw) Gawlas, Drew Gawlas, Jimmy Anders , Anna Anders and Joey Anders. Also survived by 5 Great-grandchildren Dear sister of the late Frank and Joseph. Rita was retired from the Northville Public Schools. She graduated from Fordson High School and was a member of the Marine Corps League #1253-Auxillary. Visitation Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 3-8 pm at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home 41555 Grand River Ave Novi 248 348 1800. In-state Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 10 am at St. James Catholic Church,46325 10 Mile Road, Novi until funeral mass at 10:30am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield.
