Spending his seminary years in residence in that city's St. Basil's College, he completed his Master of Divinity (1972) at the University of St. Michael's College, also a Basilian institution, within the University of Toronto. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 26, 1973 in Annunciation Church in Rochester, NY by Bishop Joseph Hogan. He rounded out his distinguished career in administration as the Secretary-General and Treasurer-General of the Congregation of St. Basil at the Basilian Fathers' Curial Offices in Toronto, ON (2012-13).
