Obituary for Richard H. Patterson

Richard H. Patterson, age 81, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2024, in Rochester, MI, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. A long-time resident of Roseville, Richard was born on January 3, 1943, to the late Harold A. Patterson and Virginia (Hurlburt).

Richard was a devoted family man, beloved husband of the late Dianne Desmet, and a loving father to Wendy (and the late Jeff) Pierce and Jennifer (Al) Fulton. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to James, Amanda (Sterling) Karissa, and Alisha, who brought joy to his life. Also doting great-grandfather of Avery, Devon and Piper

Richard was also a dear brother to the late Robert Patterson. His warm spirit and sense of humor touched the lives of many, making friends wherever he went. He enjoyed playing pool and darts, often sharing laughs and good times at the St. Clair Shores Moose Lodge #1837, where he was a valued member.

Professionally, Richard dedicated many years to Chrysler as a skilled tool and die maker, earning respect for his craftsmanship and work ethic.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 2-7 PM at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, located at 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375, followed by a funeral service at 7 PM. Inurnment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery at a later date.

In honor of Richard's memory, memorial contributions may be directed to All About Animals Rescue , a cause that reflects his kind-hearted nature.

Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.
