Richard C. May, age 42, of Novi, Michigan, passed away on December 1, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1983, in Dearborn, Michigan, and lived a life defined by devotion to his family, dedication to his work, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
Rick was the beloved husband of Jorgia Basner-May and the proud father of Kamryn and Jameson May, who were the center of his world. He was the cherished son of Diane (Ron) Peters and Rick (Susan) May, and the loving brother of Kristine (Dave) Chriss, Monica (Alex) Wolff, and Raymond Peters. His family, extended family, and many friends will remember him for his humor, intelligence, and steadfast loyalty.
Professionally, Rick excelled as a Salesforce Consultant and Technical Architect, bringing his deep knowledge and problem-solving abilities to every project he touched. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and his Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University—accomplishments that reflected his drive for excellence and lifelong passion for learning.
Rick enjoyed being involved in his community. He was an active member of the Wolverine Dart Association, where he embraced the playful spirit of "Projectile Dysfunction," and he gave his time to the Novi Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC), advocating for students and families with compassion and care.
Visitation will be held at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life begins at 2:00 p.m. The family request that guests wear green and white to the services for Rick, in honor of his schools' colors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
