Richard J. Glavin (Dick), age 84, was born to eternal life on October 1, 2013.
Beloved husband of the late Cathy (née Byrne).
Devoted son of the late Joseph Clement Glavin and Mary Margaret (Minnie) Glavin (née Dilworth).
Cherished brother of Thomas J. Glavin (Mary Ann) and Mary Margaret Thomas (Richard).
Loving uncle to Diane MacDonald (née Glavin), Patrick Glavin, Timothy Glavin, the late Michael Glavin, Marilyn Thomas Wieland, and Maureen Thomas.
Loving great uncle to four great-nieces and three great-nephews.
He was a devoted follower of Father Solanus Casey, and a member of The Knights of Columbus, George F. Monaghan Council, and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
He served in active duty in the Air Force in Maine and Alaska.
As a  graduate of St. Theresa's High School and the University of Detroit, he was named to the All City Basketball Team in 1947 by the Detroit Public School League.
Active in all things Notre Dame and the stock market, he will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation on Thursday, October 3rd, 4 PM to 9 PM at O'Brien-Sullivan Funeral Home (41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi 248-348-1800).  Rosary at 7 PM lead by The Knights of Columbus, George F. Monaghan Council.
The Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 AM at St. Bonaventure Monastery (1740 Mt. Elliott St., Detroit) on Friday, October 4th. Visitation preceding at 10 AM.
The family requests that donations will be gratefully accepted by The Father Solanus Casey Guild, Detroit,  or the Angela Hospice, Livonia.
