September 12, 1962 – October 23, 2023

Renee Lynne Hunter, a remarkable woman with a zest for life, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on October 23, 2023. Born on September 12, 1962, in Pontiac, Michigan, Renee's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and unwavering generosity.

Renee was known for her strong and vibrant personality, which was only matched by her heart full of kindness and compassion. She was always the first to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her protective nature extended to all who were fortunate enough to be in her presence.

A precise planner and an organizational genius, Renee had a knack for bringing order to chaos, whether it was in her personal life or when hosting her beloved gatherings. Renee's home was a hub of warmth and hospitality, where she entertained family and friends with unmatched grace. She had a passion for cooking and delighted in preparing delicious meals for those she loved. Her specialty was hosting family casino nights, a testament to her love of fun and togetherness.

Renee's love for her family was immeasurable. She grew up in Pontiac, Michigan, as part of a large and loving family. She cherished her siblings, Rose, Anne, Phillis, Mike, Henry, and Barb, and her parents, Henry and Sue LeBrun(who predeceased her).

Renee had a unique affinity for woodworking, painting, and gardening. Her creative spirit was evident in the beautiful creations she crafted. She also had a deep love for her dogs, who were not just pets but cherished members of her family. Her beloved dogs Saddle, Goofy, Rosie, Bobo, Cody, and Kira, have preceded her in crossing the rainbow bridge, where they await a joyful reunion.

During her professional career, Renee worked as a business analyst, and upon moving back from Houston where she met her loving husband, Clark. Together, they shared 28 beautiful years of companionship and love, creating a lifetime of treasured memories. They married on June 24th, 1995 and journeyed through life's adventures hand in hand.

In addition to her husband Clark, Renee is survived by her adoring children Jim (Sara), Nichole (Tony), and Kyle, who were the lights of her life. Her love and legacy live on through her grandchildren, ten in number, and her dogs Evie and Roxie. Renee's warm heart touched many more lives through her nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.

Renee's adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, including a memorable fishing trip to Mexico awarded by her employer, Sysco. During this trip, she achieved a remarkable feat by catching the largest sword fish in her group, a testament to her determination and tenacity.

To toast to her life and celebrate special moments, Renee occasionally indulged in Korbel Champagne. It was a symbol of her appreciation for life's finer things and a reminder of the joy she brought to those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Renee to be directed to the Karmanos Cancer Center , a cause that held deep personal significance to her.

Renee Lynne Hunter's legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering warmth will forever remain in the hearts of those who were privileged to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her vibrant spirit and the love she shared with the world. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before her.
