Novi, Michigan - Raymond Joseph Cornellier, a devoted husband, loving father, and respected Mechanical Engineer/Designer, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024, in Novi at the age of 94.
Raymond was the beloved husband of Laura Cornellier for an incredible 73 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He was the loving father of Gary (Sandra) Cornellier, Mark (Debra) Cornellier, and Bryan (Cheryl) Cornellier. Raymond was a proud grandfather of 5 and a great grandfather of 5, showering each generation with his wisdom and affection.
Born with a passion for life, Raymond was a man of diverse interests and talents. His hobbies included speed skating, golfing, bowling, sail boating, and a deep love for cars. Throughout his 94 years, he embraced each of these pursuits with enthusiasm and skill, leaving a lasting impression on those who shared in his joy.
Raymond served in the Army Intelligence for 2 years, showcasing his commitment to duty and country. Following his military service, he dedicated 45 years of his life to a successful career as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer, leaving a legacy of innovation and expertise.
A devout Catholic, Raymond was an active member of the Church of the Holy Family in Novi. His faith was an integral part of his life, and he contributed significantly to the design of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Westland and the Aunt Babe Home.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Friday, March 15, 2024, at the Church of the Holy Family, located at 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral liturgy at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to
