Paul Francis Carlton, son, brother, a beloved performer and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on December 27, 1957, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, he was the son of the late Annette Cecilia (Lucas) and Stanley Francis Carlton.
Paul is survived by his devoted partner, Thomas Gilliam, and his loving siblings: Michael (Maureen) Carlton, Teresa Lind, and Linda Szedely. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Carlton, who will be fondly remembered in their hearts.
A graduate of Carl Brablec High School in Roseville, Michigan, Paul was known for his vibrant spirit and passion for the performing arts, adopting the stage name Eunice Alexander. He brought joy to many through his performances and was an active member of the local bowling community, serving as the Chairperson of the MIC Bowling Charity. His infectious enthusiasm and warmth made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Paul spent many years as a customer service representative at McKesson, where his dedication and kindness were felt by both colleagues and clients. He was known for his ability to connect with people, always ready with a smile and a listening ear.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 2 to 7 PM at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, located at 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375. A service celebrating Paul will be held at 2pm Friday, October 11, 2024, with visitation from 1 pm until the beginning of the service at the funeral home. In honor of his memory, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Paul will be interred in a niche at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan.
