Nancy Jean Howes, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 in Novi at the age 93. Nancy was born February 4, 1931 in Detroit, MI. to Jean (Clark) and Elliott Heugh. She was the eldest child of 7 and the only daughter born to Jean and Elliott.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years William Sr., their children William Jr. (Beth), Jeffrey (Lorri), and Catherine (Paul) Criger; 8 grandchildren Lauren (Adam), Derek, Sean (Natalie), Thomas (Bethanee), Zachary (Kaitlyn), Caitlin, Matthew and Melissa; and 7 great grandkids, AJ, Case, Jackson, Olivia, James, McKenna and Kaia.

Nancy was the dear sister of Lawrence (Judy), David and Andrew (Jeanne) Heugh and is predeceased by her brothers, Robert, James, and William. Nancy will also be missed by Barbara (Howard), Victoria, Dianne and Tina.

She found joy in her many hobbies including golf, reading, knitting, sewing and gardening. Nancy and William shared a passion for travel, making 14 memorable trips to Hawaii, a place that held a special place in their hearts.

Nancy's life will be celebrated at a later date. She will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy's memory may be made to the Salvation Army

Nancy's kindness, warmth, and indomitable spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
