In Memoriam
Dr. Midathala Hampaiah
29 September 1931 – 30 December 2025

We gather to celebrate and remember the life of Dr. Midathala Hampaiah, a devoted surgeon physician, mentor, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life was defined by service, love for family and friends, and a deep curiosity for the world that carried him from humble beginnings in Guntakal, India to a distinguished medical career spanning the continents. He lived with an insatiable zest for travel, adventure and life itself.

Above all, Dr. Hampaiah was a family man. He believed deeply in duty, to his loved ones, his patients, and his principles. His wisdom, warmth, and steadfast presence shaped generations, and the values he lived by continue to guide all who were fortunate to know him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy endures in the lives he touched and the example he set.

As the Vedas remind us, "Na hanyate hanyamāne śarīre" - the soul is not destroyed when the body falls.


May he attain moksha. May his memory remain eternal.
