It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michele T. Dages, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, who departed from this world on August 14, 2023. Michele was born to the late Charles and Collette Dages, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and remarkable achievements.
Michele was a cherished sister to Peter F. Dages, Joan M. Cox, Brian Gerard Dages, and Patrick Dages. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law Joanne Dages and brother-in-law Jerry Cox. Michele was a proud aunt to Andrew Cox, Neil Cox, David Cox, and Matt Dages. Her nurturing spirit and humor brightened all of our lives.
Michele's academic accomplishments included a B.S. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Loyola University in Chicago. She was a trailblazer for women in the work world, particularly in the IT industry, and her professional accomplishments in the field of technology support were marked by her passion, innovation, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Michele was also an adventurer at heart. Her love for travel took her across the globe, and included African safaris, exploring the Egyptian pyramids, and riding elephants in Thailand. Michele's keen eye for photography and early adoption of technology captured the beauty of her experiences. Her warm hospitality was especially evident in her memorable Christmas Eve dinners. Her culinary skills, particularly her renowned cheesecake, brought joy to the hearts and taste buds of her fortunate guests.
Michele displayed resilience and determination throughout her life – seen in her walking the Chicago Marathon – and her battling her illness to the end.

A private burial will be held to honor Michele's life, followed by a dinner where cherished memories will be shared among her closest friends in Michigan. Additionally, a separate service to celebrate Michele's life will take place in her hometown of Chicago, IL, at a later date.
