Obituary

Michael "Ringer" Treanor could fix anything. And if you knew him, he probably fixed your car, your roof, your basement, or something in between. He was always ready to help. He was a sensitive soul with a huge heart. He was a hard worker and respected hard work. "Get up loafers. You gonna watch cartoons all day?" he'd say to his children. And they learned, as his son, John, would say when he was little, "I broke it, I fix it," and his other son, David, went on to learn the trade from him. Michael's legacy will always live on. He will be missed by his children John and David, parents John and Kathleen, siblings Kathy, John, Brian, Dennis, Kevin and Brendan, godchildren Blanca, Baileah and Brian, his many nieces and nephews and their children, and his extended family in the states and in Ireland and England. Michael and the whole Treanor family have long been a part of the Detroit Irish community, and his loss is felt by many. He's so loved and will always be remembered. A celebration of Michael's life in the US will be held at at later date. Michael will be remembered at a mass at the Knock Shrine in Ireland on December 20 at 10a, and it can be watched at www.knockshrine.ie
