Michael John Head, a proud veteran of the United States Navy age 86 passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023, at his home in Novi. He was the beloved husband of Sharon Head, the love of his life and favored golf partner.

Mike graduated from St. Rita's High School in Detroit. He enjoyed a long and successful career at Lear Corporation. He enjoyed golf and had a tremendous love for the game of baseball, playing the game well into his 60's. He was an avid sports fan of all Detroit teams – with a cold beer in hand whenever he had the chance.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Bill, Dave, Richie, and grandson Devin Miller. Mike is survived by his sister Marilyn (Jack) Vettraino, children Michael (Debi) Head, Jennifer (Chris) Miller, Patti (Jeff) Casavant and Judy (Dan) Michaels. Loving grandpa of Britny (Rick) Doyle, Natasha Miller, Bridget Michaels, Maggie Michaels, Owen Michaels, Matthew Casavant, Ryan Casavant and loving great grandpa to Alexandra Doyle and Charlotte Doyle.

He will be remembered for his kind heart that he shared with his friends and family. He will be missed dearly.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 23 at 10:30 am at St. James Catholic Church 46325 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi. Visitation at the church begins at 10:00 am
