Among all his achievements, nothing meant more to Mike than family. He married the love of his life, Denise, on October 19, 1986—a day he often spoke of with joy and gratitude. He cherished the birth of his daughter Melissa, her wedding, and the moment he became a grandfather to little Robbie, who lovingly called him G-Pa. Mike is survived by his devoted wife Denise James; his daughter Melissa Stevenson and her husband Rob; his brother Robert James and sister-in-law Linda; and his grandson Robbie, who brought light and laughter into his days. He is preceded in death by his father Eugine James, mother Shirley Wilson, sister Penny, and brother Ronnie.
Known to many as strong, protective, wise, impactful, and memorable, Mike lived by the words he often shared: "It's not what you have at the end of life, it's what you leave behind that matters." He leaves behind love, lessons, and a legacy carried proudly by the family he adored.
