Michael Alexander

Michael Alexander passed away peacefully in Florida on June 7, 2025, at the age of 78. A hardworking and spirited man, Michael lived a full and dedicated life, surrounded by family and fueled by a passion for the open road.

Born on June 7, 1947, to the late Stanley and Wanda Alexander, Michael was raised in a loving home that shaped his strong work ethic and deep family values. He was preceded in death by his brother Frederic Alexander and his beloved sister Pat Alexander, who passed just days after him.

Michael is survived by his sister, Alice Alexander; his brother, Paul Alexander; and his sister-in-law, Judy Alexander. He also leaves behind his niece Kim, nephew Alan, great-nephew Brendan, and great-niece Lauren — all of whom he loved deeply and supported with pride.

Michael spent his entire professional life as an entrepreneur at Alexander Trucking, a business he built with dedication and grit. He was known for his honesty, dependability, and commitment to doing things the right way — qualities that earned him deep respect in his community and industry.

When he wasn't working, Michael enjoyed the thrill and freedom of motorcycle riding. It was more than just a hobby; it was a reflection of his independent spirit and love for adventure.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi (248-348-1800). Michael will lie in state on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Church of the Holy Family, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi, beginning at 9:30 AM until the Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Michael will be remembered for his tenacity, loyalty, and love for family. His legacy of hard work and independence lives on in the many lives he touched.
