Mava Nell Traynor, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024. Born on May 31, 1950, in Big Sandy, Tennessee, Mava was the cherished daughter of the late Noel and Vernell (Mathis) French.

Mava was the devoted wife of John Traynor for 37 wonderful years. She was a loving mother to Kelly Shepard, John (Sharon) Traynor Jr., and Shane Traynor. She also took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Gem, Tolley (Kiersten), and Ian. Mava was preceded in death by her brother, Charles French

Mava spent many years working in the automotive industry as an accountant, where her dedication and skill were highly valued. Outside of work, she found joy in gardening, camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Mava was an active member of Oak Pointe Church and relished every moment spent with her family and friends, embracing the company of those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , honoring Mava's generous spirit and love for helping others.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, located at 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi, MI 48375. The funeral service will take place at 11 am on Friday, May 24, 2024, with additional visitation from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mava Nell Traynor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
