MaryAnn Cook
MaryAnn went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2019. She was born in Dallas, Texas on June 7, 1929 and raised by Bert and Ethel (Sutton) Smith. MaryAnn attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri and graduated with a degree in Theology and Education. Her life was devoted to serving the Lord she loved.
She married Rev. David Gordon Griffen in 1950, who preceded her in death 1977. In 1978, she married Edgar Cook who passed away in 1992. As a minister's wife MaryAnn embraced her role as mother, teacher, and counselor. She is the beloved mother of David (Regina) Griffen II, Davette (Brian) James, Steven (Kelly) Griffen. She is the proud grandmother of Jennifer Kieltyka, Kristen Posont, Brandon James, Trevor James, Keaton Griffen, Ethan Griffen and great grandmother of Austin Kieltyka, Hayden Kieltyka, Nicklas Kieltyka, Kendall Fuller, Colton Fuller, Issac James, and Caleb James. After her retirement she became an avid painter and traveled extensively.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Brightmoor Christian Church, 40800 W 13 Mile Rd, Novi, MI 48377 from 10:00 am until the funeral service at 11:00am.
Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Canton, Michigan.
