Mary Frances Ryniak, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, was called to Heaven on October 27 at age 75, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's and cancer.
Born July 23, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan, Mary was one of nine children raised in a bustling household by Charles Bruce and Ilene Louis Pfeiffer. She is predeceased by her parents and brothers; Stephen, Jonathan and Douglas.
Mary was a beacon of joy and strength to her devoted husband of over 34 years, Ronald Stanley. Their love story began with a decade of courtship before they exchanged vows over Lake Tahoe in 1992. Together they created a life filled with love and loyalty. Ronald was by her side every moment, especially during the last three years.
A proud graduate of John Glenn High School, and social butterfly, Mary was elected to Homecoming Court of 1969 by her peers, and went on to attend Schoolcraft College where she earned an Associate’s Degree. She forged a distinguished 30-year career with Ford Motor Company and Visteon, later pursuing a real estate license and serving as an agent during her retirement years.
Mary's family was her greatest treasure. She was the adored and cherished mother of her son, Michael Stanley, and daughters; Lisa Marie and Rebecca Susan. Her grandchildren; MaryCatherine Marie, Karl Gustav and Victoria Pia, were the lights of her life. She was blessed with great-grandchildren; Tyler Jeffery and Mila Jade, from MaryCatherine, who brought her endless joy.
Mary's sewing skills were legendary; crafting her granddaughter MaryCatherine’s purple prom dress, quilts for the entire family (finishing a project first started by her mother, Ilene) and countless Halloween costumes over the years.
She took immense pride in Karl's achievements in baseball, education and religion- cherishing the moment he asked her for a Bible. Victoria’s accomplishments in modeling, acting, sewing, along with her unique charm and wit, were constant sources of pride for Mary.
Mary brought laughter and warmth to those around her. Her legacy of kindness and resilience will live on in the hearts of her surviving siblings; Michael, David (Susan), Lori (Paul Turner), Tammy (Wayne Moore) and Sharon, as well as many loving nephews, nieces and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Mary's memory to the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinson’s Wellness, a cause that was close to her heart. https://kirkgibsoncenter.org/ Perhaps just purchase a scratch off in her honor, Blazing 7s was her favorite.
Mary's life was a testament to love, perseverance, and the impact of a joyful spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The Ryniak Family also wishes to extend the most sincere grace and gratitude to Shawntelle Sledge for her commitment to care in comforting Mary and Ronald over the last few months. Many thanks and grace are also extended to her Residential Nurse Taylor and the WellBridge Center of Novi staff especially LayToya and Deb. The entire extended Ryniak and Pfeiffer family appreciate the care and support you’ve provided.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 3:00 - 8:00 PM with a sharing of memories and a prayer starting at 7:00 PM at O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave. Novi, MI 48375. Visitation will continue Saturday, October 31 from 11:00 until time of funeral mass at 11:30 AM at Holy Family Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Rd, Novi, MI 48375.
Mary posthumously requests all men to present in a lavender or purple tie on the day of final resting and for women to have a purple or lavender accent if possible. Ribbons will be provided to all guests. Mary’s favorite color was lavender and we hope to show her our love. This is just a request; your presence is the ultimate appreciation.
