Mary Lou Howlett Age 85
Passed away peacefully July 3, 2018

Mary Lou was born January 3, 1933, in Minnesota, the daughter of Albert & Florence (Heimel) Bachtle.
Surviving Mary Lou are her beloved children Jeanne (Tom) Murphy, Robert (Sue), and Barbara Eahrow; cherished grandchildren Nicole Howlett, Emily Eahrow, and Samantha Eahrow.

Mary Lou enjoyed her work as a secretary initially at Ford Motor Co. and later for the Farmington Public Schools until her retirement. She then loved working at a local florist until she became the best babysitter for her twin granddaughters. She also enjoyed travelling to Florida to visit her family there. Mary Lou was happiest when she was caring for others – her children, grandchildren, friends from church and her many beloved pets. Mary Lou sang with the Spirit of Detroit Chapter of the Sweet Adelines for 30 years and enjoyed travelling to many exciting competitions with this wonderful group of ladies.

A celebration of Mary Lou's life will take place on Sunday, July 22 at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River, Novi 248/348-1800. Family will receive friends from 2-7 pm with a service at 5 pm.
