Mary Frances Curtis passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on January 6, 1937, in Johnson City, Tennessee, she was the beloved daughter of Sara (née Carnett) and Westley Jones.
Mary was a talented beautician and a devoted wife and mother, who created a warm and welcoming home for her family. She shared her passions for cooking, bowling, line dancing, puzzles, bingo, and trips to the casino with those she loved. Her vibrant spirit and zest for life touched everyone around her.
A special part of Mary's life was her dedication to supporting individuals with special needs, inspired by her love and commitment to her son, who was diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Jerry lived with Mary for 54 years, and she devoted herself to ensuring his happiness and well-being. Her compassion extended beyond her family, as she became a source of encouragement and kindness to others in similar circumstances.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late John Briggs Curtis (JB). She is the doting mother of Kathy, John, Joe, and Jerry. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren, Sara, Aaron, and Austin, who brought her immense pride and happiness. Mary is the beloved sister of Jaunita, Elsie, Crystal, Stella, Jesse, Niles, and Roy.
Her family and friends will forever hold her in their hearts, cherishing the love and laughter she brought into their lives. Mary Frances Curtis will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
